The Terrain

We want to be completely honest with our visitors: DEW Haven is situated on natural Maine terrain. Our pathways are made of dirt, and the ground can be uneven. You will encounter some hills and slopes as you walk around the property.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Because of our natural paths and hilly terrain, our facility is not fully wheelchair accessible. Standard wheelchairs may struggle, especially after rain when the ground is soft. Motorized or all-terrain chairs fare much better.

We do our very best to accommodate everyone. If you have mobility concerns, please call us ahead of your visit so we can discuss the best ways to accommodate you.

Service Animals

While we do not allow outside pets or emotional support animals for the safety and health of our rescues, trained ADA service animals are always welcome.
